This job posting is for a position in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee and not McDonald’s USA. The franchisee owns a license to use McDonald’s logos and food products, but is a separate company and the sole employer for all employment matters.
General Manager is responsible for running a profitable restaurant and ensuring the restaurant meets McDonald’s critical customer standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. The role includes setting restaurant goals in partnership with leadership, creating actionable plans, leading Department Managers, and coaching and directing teams toward continuous improvement. The General Manager may also be responsible for hiring and developing Department and Shift Managers.
Responsibilities
Run a profitable restaurant and meet Quality, Service, and Cleanliness standards.
Set restaurant goals and develop a plan to achieve them with leadership support.
Lead Department Managers, helping them set goals, monitor progress, and coach.
Hire and develop Department and Shift Managers to build the future leadership team.
Qualifications Ideal candidates should have previous General Manager experience running high‑volume locations. A background in quick service restaurants is strongly desired, or experience in hospitality or retail. Candidates must be 18 years or older.
