About the Position We are working with a Midwest-based Am Law firm that has an active need for a real estate finance lawyer (2-6 yrs) to join its Chicago office as an associate. This firm’s real estate group is a core practice of the firm and handles all aspects of real estate deals, from acquisition through development, debt and equity financing, leasing, and disposition. The practice is Chambers-ranked and is recognized by Legal 500 and Best Law Firms.

Responsibilities

Handle loan origination work for large structured commercial real estate finance transactions, including mezzanine loans and preferred equity, asset management, and workout experience

Run transactions on behalf of lenders from inception through closing and post-closing, including secondary market repurchase facility work and other exit strategies

Required Qualifications

2-6 years of real estate finance experience

Large law firm experience

Strong academic credentials and writing

Location Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

Compensation The anticipated base salary range for this position is $220,000 – $390,000.
