The TRP Team Leader will provide clinical leadership to the TRP team and functions as an outpatient clinician. In addition to overseeing the daily operations of the Hub/Department TRP program(s), the TRP Team Leader will review referrals, provide clinical direction and demonstrate appropriate leadership skills with respect to developing group/individual activities, provide ongoing clinical needs, complete billing paperwork/documentation, and provide the appropriate supervision of all assigned program staff. The TRP Team Leader will provide goal directed planning with clients to enhance their quality of life in all domains and will assist with building activities of daily living (ADLs) skills. The TRP Team Leader is a positive team player that promotes a culture of inclusion and participation. When working in the outpatient office, the TRP Team Leader provides clinical services for individuals and families that present for treatment. Services include treatment planning, crisis intervention, risk assessment, on-going assessments, client education, individual, family, group and collateral therapy and referral and advocacy. The TRP Team leader approaches client care with a whole health perspective providing linkages and coordination of care throughout the organization.

Required Education And Experience

Master’s Degree in social work, psychology or a closely related field that provides a specialized knowledge of the work to be performed Applicable state licensure in social work, psychology, counseling or related field

Preferred Education And Experience

Experience serving individuals with serious mental illness Independent licensure (LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, PhD, etc.)

Administrative Operations

Direct the day-to-day clinical operations of the TRP Provide ongoing direction and support to staff Facilitate the recruitment and hiring of TRP team members, making recommendations regarding selection of employees, job assignment, evaluations, promotions, compensation and progressive disciplinary action Monitor staff performance and attendance Create a culture that promotes communication, trust, growth and leadership Lead team meetings, staff meetings, and meetings with community partners Conduct required staff performance evaluations Motivate staff and foster collaboration within the clinic and throughout the organization Support staff development, identify individual training needs and growth opportunities Manage financial resources of TRP(s) Direct and coordinate referral process ensuring the process is simple, quick and collaborative Evaluate client individualized needs providing and/or connecting clients to individual therapy, psychiatric care, primary care or other supportive services

Clinical Services

Deliver evidenced based counseling that provides effective medically necessary treatment of mental and behavioral conditions in individuals and families Assess and integrate historical, psychosocial and medical information into a client’s individualized treatment Monitor the need for continuation of services and/or change in level of intensity of services Deliver services primarily in outpatient office setting or where necessary to meet client needs Manage situations involving client risk and provide clinical crisis services to de-escalate crisis situations and promote stability Manage a caseload that may include diverse populations with a variety of clinical needs Provide clinical assessment, crisis assessment, and mental health petitions Provide psycho-education on mental health and physical health topics Monitor client risk effectively and appropriately Utilize person-centered recovery planning
