Job Description
General contractor self performing Division 9 work in Federal, Educational and Municipal Government commercial construction is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated & detail oriented individual to assist estimating and administrating local projects.
Our office is in Miami and the vast majority of our projects are in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties with isolated projects in Monroe, Palm Beach and St. Lucie Counties.
The ideal candidate comes from a construction management background or is an engineering/architecture graduate and must meet the following basic qualifications:
Communicate in English and Spanish with proficiency in English;
Have a clean record to obtain security clearances to access Federal Facilities;
Proficiency estimating and managing small to medium sized projects;
Ability to read & interpret construction drawings and specifications;
Good interpersonal skills to maintain excellent client & vendor relationships;
Organized and detail oriented;
Experience on Federal or Educational projects and/or AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Project or other estimating/scheduling software experience is a big plus so highlight this on your resume if interested.
Typical responsibilities will include but not be limited to attending pre-bid meetings, doing quantity take offs, obtaining quotes from vendors or subcontractors, maintaining an updated cost pricing and subcontractor/vendor database, pricing jobs and scheduling & managing some of our projects. Most importantly, the individual will be interacting with our clients often.
The individual will work closely with the Business Development Manager during the pre-construction phase and with the Director of Operations during construction & project close-out phases.
