The Sales Specialist - Industrial Trade and Converting (SS-ITC) is responsible for providing tesa solutions to the assigned geographic territory in North America which includes the following states: ME, CT, PA, MD, DE, RI, NJ, WV, VA, OH, NY, MA, NH and VT. The ideal candidate for this role will be based near a major airport to allow for easier and more efficient customer interactions. The focus of this role will be a combination of face to face and virtual selling to key end user segments through distribution and converting partners to achieve sales goals.

How you'll help the formula

Meet or exceed all sales objectives and growth targets by effectively coordinating sales activities and driving business development within the assigned geographic territory.

Proactively uncover and qualify new business opportunities using targeted prospecting methods—including cold calls, email outreach, social selling, networking, and effective use of CRM data and market insights.

Leverage data-driven territory management to strategically identify and engage target end users, understand their needs and buying behavior, and position tesa solutions based on key value drivers.

Develop and maintain an active, accurate pipeline in CRM to support financial goals and meet activity targets through consistent tracking, follow-up, and opportunity management.

Create strong relationships with key Distributor/Converter stakeholders, i.e. Sales Representatives (DSRs), Management, Procurement, Engineering, to serve as a strong selling consultant, conduct regular business reviews, and help jointly close sales.

Work collaboratively with tesa Key Account Managers, cross-functional teams (including Product Management and Application Solution Engineers), and channel partners to align strategies and deliver customer-focused solutions.

Performs other related duties as required.

Key elements for your role

5+ years relevant experience in industrial sales and/or marketing.

Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant industrial sales experience.

Effective communication and presentation skills, with ability to influence complex organizational structures.

Lead the negotiation process from planning through to closure, reaching a mutually agreed upon outcome.

Strong analytical skills/creative problem-solving capabilities.

Must have a current, valid driver’s license and physical ability to drive for lengthy periods.

Must be available for air/auto travel up to 70% of the time.

Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with demonstrated ability to effectively use Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.

Able and willing to adapt schedule to satisfy customer needs.

Spanish language capability a plus.
