Overview This role requires a strong leader who thrives in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven work environment. The 2nd Assistant Store Manager will ensure the store and its crew deliver a world‑class customer experience through proper training and execution of our customer service and operational standards. Reporting to the Assistant Store Manager, you will receive hands‑on training in all management processes and serve as the leader and ambassador of the Customer Service Experience at the store. All responsibilities and expectations will be provided when hired.

Responsibilities

Setting Others Up for Success: Ensure crew is trained and prepared to meet job expectations, coach and inspire regularly, and support hiring and development.

Instilling the Importance of Customer Service: Deliver world‑class service, reinforce the company mission, and identify opportunities to improve the customer experience.

Achieving Operational Excellence: Partner with management to manage inventory, shrink, financial targets, policy compliance, marketing promotions, merchandising, quality standards, safety, and crisis management.

Leadership & Professionalism: Model integrity, respect, and communication; mentor department managers; partner with fellow leaders; and foster a positive store culture.

Rolling Up Your Sleeves: Participate in store operations across all departments, including body care, dairy/frozen, grocery, produce, receiving, and vitamins; perform light cleaning duties when needed.

Getting the Job Done: Full schedule availability, including evenings and weekends.

Moving on Up: Gain insights into store operations and development opportunities for advancement in stores and the support center.

Qualifications

Strong leadership skills – inspire others and build trust.

Ability to work effectively under pressure and remain calm in challenging interactions.

Patience and understanding of different learning styles.

Forklift certification or willingness to obtain.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Self‑motivated and capable of working independently.

Driven to meet deadlines and deliver results.

Full schedule availability; evenings and weekends.

Demonstrated success in training individuals and groups.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Staff management experience is a plus.

Effective at managing changing priorities.

Proven analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.

Excellent customer service skills.

Interest in natural/organic foods and supplements.

Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
