Overview This position requires a strong leader who thrives in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven work environment. The assistant manager will ensure the store and its crew deliver a world‑class customer experience through proper training and execution of company customer‑service and operational standards. You will be the second assistant manager, trained in all management processes and serve as the leader and ambassador of the customer‑service experience at your store.
Responsibilities
Setting Others Up for Success: Train and prepare store crew to meet expectations, coach and inspire them, participate in hiring, selection, and development, and promote from within.
Instilling Customer Service Excellence: Focus training on serving customers and fulfilling the mission, identify opportunities to improve the customer experience and execute solutions.
Achieving Operational Excellence: Partner with the management team to manage processes from inventory to marketing promotions, ensuring compliance and financial targets.
Leadership & Professionalism: Maintain professional communication, promote company objectives and founding principles, mentor department managers, drive a positive store culture.
Rolling Up Your Sleeves: Work hands‑on across all departments to gain operational perspective and occasionally perform maintenance tasks.
Getting the Job Done: Full schedule availability, evenings, weekends.
Advancing Opportunities: Insight into store operations and advancement possibilities within the store and support center.
Qualifications
Strong leadership skills, ability to inspire and gain trust.
Works effectively under pressure.
Patience, understanding, and adaptability to learning styles.
Forklift certification required.
Excellent organizational and detail‑oriented skills.
Self‑motivated and capable of independent work.
Driven to meet deadlines.
Full schedule availability, including evenings and weekends.
Experience training individuals and groups.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Staff management experience is a plus.
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Interest in natural/organic foods and supplements.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
