Key Account Manager – Strategically Partner with Large Merchants
Affirm is reinventing consumer credit by making buy‑now → pay‑later simple, transparent, and friendly. As a Key Account Manager you will own a portfolio of high‑growth strategic merchants, deliver revenue expansion, and partner across Product, Credit, Analytics, Marketing and Risk to drive results.
What You’ll Do
Own a portfolio of key accounts and drive ambitious revenue, volume and GMV targets through complex contract negotiation, pricing and expansion opportunities.
Develop and execute sophisticated account plans that include financing optimizations, executive relationship engagement and marketing strategies.
Analyze partner performance and recommend programs to increase product adoption, grow funnel awareness and sell into expansion opportunities.
Orchestrate cross‑functional teams across Product, Technical, Credit, Analytics, Marketing and Risk to execute partnership initiatives.
Manage customer health to ensure overall satisfaction and business results.
Drive customer advocacy and resolve critical issues by collaborating with development, product management and support teams to improve the merchant offering.
What We Look For
Experience negotiating and closing large, complex commercial contracts for leading companies.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to give compelling presentations.
Experience leading cross‑functional projects with high attention to detail.
Ability to build productive internal and external relationships and influence outcomes; outstanding executive presence.
Excellent analytical abilities to review merchant performance and report on program impact to stakeholders.
Knowledge of retail, consumer finance offerings, integrated software solutions and e‑commerce preferred.
Comfortable using Salesforce and standard BI tools.
Compensation & Equity Pay Grade: K
|
Equity Grade: 6
On Target Earnings
(CA, WA, NY, NJ, CT) – $175,000 – $237,500 per year On Target Earnings
(all other U.S. states) – $155,000 – $217,500 per year
Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include equity rewards, monthly stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits (100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents).
