Nurse Practitioner Physician Assistant Oncology Hospitalist
New position with growing oncology team specializing in cancers of the GI tract. Position includes a strong APP presence in the division and comes with our Henry Ford Health comprehensive benefit package. Responsibilities
The Specialty/Invasive NP or Physician Assistant will work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. Will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, consultation, and care coordination as a first line provider to patients and their families. Provides inpatient and/or outpatient medical care. Works in collaboration with attending physicians, advanced practice providers, consultants, house officers, nurses, and other members of the medical care team to ensure that patient outcomes are achieved safely and efficiently. Specific procedures as per credentialing as indicated by training and experience. Education & Experience Required
Master’s degree in nursing -or- Must be a Masters prepared Physician Assistant who has graduated from an AMA approved Physician Assistant program. Oncology experience is required with 1 year APP experience. Certifications & Licensure Required
Current certification as a Certified Nurse Practitioner. Current State license as a Registered Nurse. State of Michigan State Physician Assistant licensure and continued certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant (NCCPA). Current BLS. Current ACLS/ATLS/PALS provider status as required by department. Additional Information
