Job Summary The Division of Infectious Diseases is recruiting a faculty member (academic rank determined at hire) at the University of Colorado School of Medicine (Anschutz Medical Campus) with a primary interest in orthopedic infectious diseases both clinically and in research/scholarship. The ideal applicant would be prepared to develop a clinical research program in orthopedic infections and mentor other faculty. Clinical duties will be primarily in orthopedic infections and general ID. Responsibilities will include inpatient and outpatient consultative services, active involvement in the musculoskeletal infections program, development of research projects and quality improvement and participation in division educational activities. This position offers an exciting and unique chance to work in a multidisciplinary setting as a member of the limb restoration and salvage team.
Key Responsibilities
Outpatient clinical services for general and orthopedic infectious diseases
Inpatient consultative services on orthopedic and general services; supervise fellow/resident/medical students on inpatient services
Working with APPs and clinical support staff on inpatient and outpatient services
Develop clinical research program in orthopedics ID
Engage in teaching and mentoring of trainees
Publish scholarly work from research and quality improvement projects
Participate in division case conferences, journal clubs and grand rounds
Participate in multidisciplinary rounds for discussion of complex infectious diseases cases with orthopedics, plastic surgery and other specialties
Work Location Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO.

Teaching and mentoring skills.
Scholarly work according to interest and aptitude.

HIRING RANGE:
Assistant Professor: $190,000 to $210,000

The above salary range represents the university's good faith estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non‑exempt.
