Position Overview

The privacy team is responsible for implementing and maintaining a world class privacy program, supporting our products, engineering and operations work to deliver a respected and trusted experience to the Autodesk community as well as maintaining compliance with all applicable privacy and data protection laws. This role involves operating and driving results in a highly matrixed environment. It involves both technical projects as well as development of end-to-end processes and controls. Immediate focus will be on further maturing privacy management capabilities and operationalizing value-added privacy capabilities across the enterprise. This role can be based in

Canada

or the

United States

and reports to the Senior Manager, Privacy, who is based in Portland. Responsibilities

Governance, risk, and compliance Identify, document, and implement privacy controls Perform privacy risk assessments (PIAs) and data protection risk assessments (DPIAs) Identify control improvement opportunities Advise teams on control design and implementation Provide contributions to the overall global privacy strategy, program design, and implementation plan Ensure compliance and operational risks are identified, escalated to the appropriate team, and take appropriate steps to remediate risk Expertise Keep up with cutting-edge privacy innovations, technologies, approaches, and techniques that can potentially be applied to Autodesk Experience in implementing guidelines & policies, and with training & awareness raising sessions Build relationships and act as an evangelizer of Autodesk’s privacy principles Stay abreast of privacy regulations worldwide Project Management Experience with the implementation of privacy and data protection projects Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate project risks Communicate status & timelines for the cross-functional team and executive understanding Define and measure success metrics Minimum Qualifications Possess a deep respect and passion for protecting people’s data privacy Ability to work independently with limited guidance to create structures and develop operational concepts Knowledge and experience implementing privacy principles in a complex technological ecosystem Minimum of 4 years of experience in privacy management and risk management Solid understanding of global data privacy legislations and regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, PIPEDA, and other international frameworks), and how they impact business operations and product design Experience with data collection and processing practices Experience with privacy impact assessments (PIAs), data protection impact assessments (DPIAs), and closing regulatory gaps Familiarity with privacy by design principles Understanding of NIST and ISO standards related to privacy and data protection Strong cross-functional leadership and analytical skills Problem identification, quantification, root cause analysis, and solving Adaptability and flexibility Outstanding organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills (verbal/presentation/written) Preferred Qualifications 7-10 years in a combination of privacy management, risk management, and project management Experience in information security, data governance, privacy, and GRC Consulting experience is a plus Education: Bachelor’s degree. Master’s a plus. Privacy or security certifications (e.g., CISA, CIPP, CIPM, CISM) Experience collaborating with legal, product, and engineering teams Experience supporting platform-specific privacy initiatives Learn More

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $129,900 and $210,100. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package. For Canada-BC based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $119,600 and $164,450. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
