Principal Research Scientist
Position: Principal Research Scientist at The University of Texas at Arlington.
Job Summary The Principal Research Scientist works with the Antibody Discovery Program, powered by Bruker’s Beacon Discovery Platform. The Vice President for Research and Innovation (VPRI) will support the Antibody Discovery Program Principal Scientist for 14 months.
Minimum Qualifications
Masters of Science in Immunology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, or a related field.
Three (3) years of hands‑on experience in antibody discovery, protein engineering, or immunotherapeutics.
Preferred Qualifications
PhD in Immunology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, or a related field.
Five (5) years of hands‑on experience in antibody discovery, protein engineering, or immunotherapeutics.
Experience with computational modeling and AI‑driven antibody development.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Lead scientific operations of the antibody discovery program using the Beacon Discovery Platform.
Design and execute high‑throughput screening campaigns for therapeutic antibody candidates.
Collaborate with academic and industry partners on contract research and feasibility studies.
Apply AI‑driven modeling and bioinformatics tools to optimize antibody selection and development.
Mentor junior researchers and contribute to workforce training initiatives.
Prepare and present scientific findings through publications, conferences, and webinars.
Support scale‑up and translational efforts.
Other duties as assigned.
