Overview

Boston University’s College of Arts and Sciences, College of Engineering, and Biological Design Center (BDC) seek a tenure‑track assistant professor focused on synthetic tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, organoids, and mechanobiology. The role will be a primary appointment split equally between Biomedical Engineering (College of Engineering) and Biology (College of Arts and Sciences), with possible affiliations with other departments and the Medical School. Responsibilities

• Lead an independent research program that attracts significant funding and advances synthetic tissue models for disease and therapeutics. • Teach graduate and undergraduate courses effectively. • Strengthen collaborative research across the university and beyond. • Participate in the intellectual life of the university, contributing to faculty and student development. Salary: $120,000 to $130,000 per year. Required Qualifications

Ph.D. in a relevant area (biomedical engineering, biology, materials science, etc.). Outstanding candidates must demonstrate potential for leadership in an independent research program and for securing external funding. Experience with synthetic biology, tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, organoids, or mechanobiology is highly desirable. Application Process
