Systems Engineer – Stanford University
Endpoint Engineering And Development (EED) is seeking a Systems Engineer to join us on a mission to elevate the experience of our systems and enrich the lives of the Stanford University community. In this position, you will work on advanced endpoint solutions and drive their success across the campus.

Deploy and manage Jamf and Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune/SCCM/MECM) solutions.
Partner with developers and engineers to define and execute strategy on complex projects from single tasks to sophisticated implementations.
Perform server migrations and cloud administration (GCP/AWS) in support of endpoint management operations.
Present to diverse audiences, from end-users to senior leadership, on the status of endpoint management projects.

EED provides a portfolio of products and services that solve problems and build experience. It focuses on software development, systems engineering, and product management and is part of the University Information Technology (UIT) organization, which supports over 100 services for 700 staff members.
Core Duties Include
Build, install, configure, analyze, tune, and troubleshoot operating systems for optimum performance.
Resolve complex system problems, provide consultation or training.
Configure and assist in the design of systems and network security.
Manage hardware, software, and utilities for installation, modification, troubleshooting, maintenance, and upgrade of workstation environments.
Compare, evaluate, and implement new technologies and integrate systems into the computing environment.
Document systems infrastructure for users, support and consulting personnel, and developers.
Train personnel who provide support and consulting services to users.
Act as liaison with various departments across campus and facilitate vendor relationships.
Manage Apple Developer Console and Google Play Console.
Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree and five years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience with Jamf and Microsoft Endpoint Manager rollouts to an enterprise organization.
Advanced knowledge of macOS and Windows environments, including hardware and software.
Proficient in one or more scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash).
Basic troubleshooting and network concepts knowledge.
Understanding of Microsoft Azure, Intune, and Azure Active Directory.
Mid to advanced knowledge of security concepts and best practices.
Experience using ticketing systems such as JIRA and ServiceNow.
Independent and team-oriented work ability.
Capability to train others in applications and system fundamentals.
Experience with middleware and infrastructure.
Bonus: experience with build automation, continuous integration, or continuous deployment tools.
The expected pay range for this position is
$127,716 to $147,437 per annum .
Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The final salary will be determined based on scope, qualifications, budget, and market pay for comparable roles.
