AI Finance Manager – Tech Consulting Whole industries have been disrupted and transformed by technology, analytics and the need for insight. The Opportunity The AI Finance Manager supports the Finance Applications Data Lead in executing an overall data‑management strategy for finance applications. You will leverage deep expertise in finance applications (planning, reporting, close/consolidation) and skills in enterprise data management, data governance, data quality, master data management, machine learning, and generative AI to support key finance personas. A key responsibility is developing and implementing EY’s AI Finance service offering, creating an industry‑agnostic data model that promotes consistency and interoperability across finance applications. You will work closely with the Data Lead and Product Owner to ensure the AI Finance Blueprint is built on accurate, consistent, and reliable data architecture.

Your Key Responsibilities

Lead the delivery of complex technical initiatives, ensuring accountability for performance and results.

Collaborate with technical teams to design and deliver system architecture solutions.

Drive continuous process improvement by identifying innovative solutions through research and analysis.

Support the effective management and utilization of finance application data, harnessing machine learning, generative AI, and Azure data technologies.

Engage clients daily, participate in planning and execution, and identify opportunities for additional services.

Skills and Attributes for Success

Monitor progress, manage risk and keep stakeholders informed about progress and expected outcomes.

Effectively manage and motivate client engagement teams with diverse skills and backgrounds.

Support data‑management strategy execution and help ensure alignment with related data initiatives.

Define data requirements, architecture, and models for finance applications, considering the potential of machine learning and generative AI.

Lead the design and implementation of an extensible common information model for the FYD Blueprint.

Develop and maintain documentation, including data dictionaries, entity‑relationship diagrams, and data lineage maps.

Collaborate with data scientists and finance specialists to apply machine learning and generative AI techniques to finance applications and personas.

Maintain a robust data governance framework for the FYD Blueprint.

Stay current with advancements in machine learning, generative AI, data management and Azure technologies and implement innovative solutions that drive efficiency, accuracy, and insight.

To Qualify for the Role You Must Have

A bachelor’s degree and approximately five years of related work experience, or a graduate degree and approximately four years of related work experience.

Minimum of 4 years of experience in data management, with at least 1 year focused on finance application data, data modeling, and financial modeling.

Strong understanding of data‑management principles, including governance, quality, and master data management.

Experience with machine learning techniques, generative AI technologies, and Azure data services (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, MS SQL, Python).

Knowledge of finance applications including financial modeling (PnL, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).

Proficiency in data integration, transformation, and data modeling tools and techniques.

Excellent communication, collaboration and problem‑solving skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment, supporting the adoption and implementation of emerging technologies.

Ideally, You’ll Also Have

A degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field with relevant experience in finance data management, data modeling and machine learning.

What We Offer You

A comprehensive compensation and benefits package, with base salary ranging from $142,600 to $261,500 nationwide (higher ranges for major markets). Total rewards include medical, dental, pension, 401(k) and paid time off.

Hybrid work model: most external client‑serving roles will work in person 40‑60% of the time.
