Nurse Educator – Periop (Full‑time, Day Shift)

Providence Health & Services invites qualified nurses to join the Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital nursing team as a full‑time, day‑shift Nurse Educator – Periop. This role focuses on teaching evidence‑based nursing practices to bedside nurses and driving clinical excellence in peri‑operative care. Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deliver educational content for peri‑operative nursing staff. Mentor bedside nurses in the application of program knowledge and best practices. Leverage simulation, case‑based learning, and competency‑validation strategies to reinforce clinical skills. Measure and analyze educational outcomes to improve teaching effectiveness. Collaborate with clinical leadership to align training with hospital goals and standards. Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field – or equivalent experience. California Registered Nurse License upon hire. National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire. Nursing Professional Development Board Certification or Nursing Education credential within two years of hire. Minimum of 3 years acute‑care nursing experience. Minimum of 1 year staff‑development activities. Experience with simulation in healthcare. Experience with interactive, case‑based online teaching/learning methods. Experience with competency‑based knowledge and skills validation. Experience evaluating outcomes to assess educational effectiveness. Preferred Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Nursing or a related professional development field. Additional specialty certification relevant to peri‑operative practice upon hire. Three years experience in peri‑operative or related specialty area. Strong preference for candidates with peri‑operative experience. Benefits
