The Nurse Educator/ Nursing Professional Development Practitioner is a professional nurse with advanced clinical, leadership, and staff development knowledge and skills. Supports the professional and clinical development of the bedside nurse and fosters empowerment through knowledge to achieve excellence in the delivery of evidence-based nursing care.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Or

Bachelor's Degree in a related field And

Upon hire: California Registered Nurse License

Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Within 2 years of hire: Nursing Professional Development Board Certification or Nursing Education Required.

3 years of Acute Care experience

1 year of Staff Development activities

Experience with simulation in healthcare.

Experience with interactive, case-based online teaching/learning methods.

Experience with both knowledge and skills based competency validation.

Experience with outcomes measurement to evaluate effectiveness of education.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degreein Nursing or related professional development field

Upon hire: Additional certification in one Specialty applicable to practice

3 yearsIn area of specialization

Periop experience is strongly preferred
