The Equinox is a four‑season resort offering a range of activities across beautiful Vermont. The General Manager will oversee overall operations, strategy, and growth.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute a strategic plan to drive resort growth and profitability.
Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape to inform business decisions.
Set long‑term goals and objectives and lead the resort toward their achievement.
Lead a diverse team of department heads, fostering collaboration, motivation, and open communication.
Provide guidance, mentoring, and development opportunities to team members.
Oversee all operational departments (front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, banquets, recreation, spa, etc.) ensuring efficient processes and high service quality.
Create and manage the resort budget, monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions.
Drive revenue generation through strategic pricing, upselling, and innovative offerings.
Foster a guest‑centric culture, address concerns promptly, and implement initiatives to boost satisfaction and loyalty.
Ensure maintenance and enhancement of physical assets; manage capital projects and sustainability initiatives.
Maintain regulatory compliance and health and safety standards.
Qualifications
Proven track record as a successful hotel or resort General Manager.
Minimum 5 years of hospitality leadership experience with progressive growth.
College degree or equivalent education/experience, preferably in Hospitality or Travel & Tourism Management.
Experience in high‑end lifestyle hotels preferred.
Exceptional leadership, communication, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills.
Ability to adapt to varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Commitment to maintaining a positive and organized work environment.
Compensation $150,000 – $160,000 per year, plus bonus potential and full benefits package.
