General Manager Requirements & Qualifications
Minimum 3+ years of restaurant management experience, including at least 1 year as a General Manager.
Strong leadership, communication, and people development skills.
Proven ability to manage budgets, drive sales, and maintain profitability.
Hands‑on, results‑driven approach with a passion for hospitality.
Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast‑paced environment.
General Manager Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
Oversee daily restaurant operations, including safety, training, administration, sales, and profitability.
Lead the selection, coaching, development, and recognition of a high‑performing management team.
Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and team performance across front and back of house.
Create a culture focused on results, collaboration, and hospitality.
Foster open, effective communication with leadership, team members, and guests.
Represent the brand with professionalism and build strong community relationships.
Ensure compliance with all company policies, food safety standards, and local regulations.
Lead cost of sales, labor, and controllable expense management with an ownership mindset.
