Position Summary

As a Senior iOS Engineer at Sam’s Club, you’ll architect and build performant, scalable mobile experiences that make frictionless shopping seamless for millions of members. You’ll work closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver intuitive features that enhance personalization, speed, and reliability across the app. Your contributions will help drive member engagement and elevate Sam’s Club’s position as a leader in digital retail. Base Pay Range

$90,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr Responsibilities

Participate on a cross-functional team, working with product and design to understand and implement feature changes. Attend daily agile team standups. Share in PR code reviews and testing as part of the Sam’s Scan & Go mobile team. Qualifications

Deep expertise in iOS development. Proficiency in Swift, UIKit, and SwiftUI. Strong understanding of iOS architecture patterns (MVC, MVVM, VIPER). Experience with Core Data, Combine, and Concurrency (GCD/async‑await). Familiarity with App Store guidelines, performance optimization, and memory management. Product & customer‑centric mindset – ability to think beyond code and understand user behavior, especially in retail environments. Experience building highly usable, accessible, and intuitive interfaces. Passion for solving real‑world problems with technology – Scan & Go is all about speed, convenience, and reliability. Strong collaboration & communication skills – comfortable working in cross‑functional teams with product managers, designers, QA, and backend engineers. Ability to mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and contribute to technical discussions. Clear communication of technical trade‑offs and decisions to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Experience with scalable, enterprise‑grade mobile systems – familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, unit/UI testing, and monitoring tools (e.g., Firebase, Xcode Instruments). Understanding of networking, offline support, and data synchronization in mobile apps. Experience integrating with enterprise APIs, feature flags, and analytics platforms. Agility and ownership in a fast‑paced environment – ability to own features end‑to‑end, from ideation to release and post‑launch support. Comfortable with Agile/Scrum methodologies, JIRA, and Git workflows. Proactive in identifying issues, proposing solutions, and driving continuous improvement. Benefits
