Position Summary The VP of Finance and Accounting reports directly to the CFO and will supervise all accounting and financial functions of Good360. Primary responsibilities include supervision of the monthly close process, restricted grants, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and management of the audit and tax process. The VP will ensure that financial reporting, systems, controls and procedures support effective organizational management and operations and will work closely with program leaders to proactively support program operations.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as subject matter expert in Accounting and Finance and oversee all AP, AR, payroll functions.

Provide financial insight, guidance and assistance to the CEO and department leaders.

Prepare, provide analysis, and approve all financial statements in a timely manner for all constituents (internal management, Board of Directors, lenders, and auditors).

Oversee the preparation of financial reporting materials and metrics and provide financial analyses to facilitate business decision-making.

Manage and develop accounting staff.

Coordinate all audit and tax activities.

Partner with the CFO on operational and strategic issues as they arise and provide strategic recommendations.

Develop strategies to achieve organizational goals and understand the organization’s strengths and weaknesses.

Display sound and accurate judgment and original thinking and creativity.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA required.

7–10+ years of accounting experience, including leadership experience, preferably with a nonprofit.

Experience with NetSuite required; ability to own system maintenance and improvements.

Experience with inventory management, warehousing, and distribution a plus.

Strong analytic and problem‑solving skills and demonstrated excellence in managing finance, accounting, budgeting, control, and reporting.

Experience in a fast‑paced environment and demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities and guiding investment in people and systems.

Technologically savvy; experience with NetSuite, Salesforce a plus.

Good people skills and the ability to develop the strengths of current finance team members.

Salary Range $145,000 – $165,000 annually, commensurate with experience and based on DC market.

Work Location Hybrid with an office in Old Town Alexandria – minimum 2 days/week in office (Anchor Day – Tuesday).
