Overview The Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Discipline organization is responsible for defining customer needs, functional and product architecture, requirements definition and decomposition, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), system performance, and System Security Engineering (SSE). The Radar Digital Product Line (RDPL) is seeking a Senior Principal Systems Engineer to lead development of digital radar system models, software requirements, integration and test activities.
What You Will Do
Build and lead a team of Systems Engineers for radar systems development and sustainment
Development of concepts of operations for radar systems including MBSE products
Radar processing algorithm development including signal processing and waveform design, electronic protection methods, phased array and digital beamforming, radar search, track and discrimination design, target and threat modeling
Radar software requirements development in both DOORS and Cameo
Statistical and numerical analysis of radar performance data utilizing MATLAB
Analysis tool development in support of problem identification and resolution
Work with Systems and Software Engineers to develop and implement solutions
Present findings and solutions to Leadership and/or Customers
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 10 years of prior engineering experience or equivalent experience.
An active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
An active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance
Experience with design, development, and analysis of radar system and software architectures
Experience with signal processing techniques in complex propagation environments
Design experience in the following radar system areas: antenna, receiver/exciter, waveforms, digital beamforming, multi-sensor track management and data fusion, adaptive signal processing, clutter mitigation techniques, electronic attack and electronic protect, sensor resource management and mission planning
Experience with MATLAB/Python/C++
Requirements development experience, including use of DOORS
Experience with MBSE products like Cameo
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Experience with technical writing and oral presentations
Systems engineering experience with large, complex systems, DoD systems
Masters/PhD Degree in a STEM field
