There are occasional medical patients as well, and the unit offers a busy environment with opportunities to learn and practice a variety of skills such as ostomies, all types of GI drains, tube feedings, pain‑management pumps, insulin drips, and more.

It provides a solid medical‑surgical foundation and a team‑player culture, and our staff tenure ranges from a few months to over 20 years. Virginia Mason Medical Center was recognized among the best hospitals in Washington state by U.S. News & World Report.

Our Registered Nurses, physicians, and other team members collaborate to provide the most positive patient experience possible.
