JCW Search is currently recruiting on behalf of a Wealth Management client in Fairfield County looking for a senior level Trust Officer.
Base pay range $125,000.00/yr - $195,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities
Administer a portfolio of personal trusts, estates, agency accounts, and guardianships in accordance with governing documents and state/federal fiduciary regulations.
Interpret trust instruments; ensure distributions, tax payments, and asset management decisions align with fiduciary standards.
Maintain regular communication with grantors, beneficiaries, attorneys, and accountants; document all substantive interactions.
Identify issues related to cash flow, investment policy, tax compliance, and trust mechanics; expedite when appropriate.
Partner with investment teams to review asset allocation, performance, and suitability relative to trust objectives.
Support new business activity through referral partners and participate in prospect meetings as needed.
Ensure timely, accurate completion of annual reviews, administrative checklists, and regulatory reporting.
Required Experience & Skills
5–10+ years in trust administration, estate settlement, or fiduciary services.
Strong knowledge of fiduciary law, trust structures, and Connecticut-specific trust/estate requirements.
Ability to read and interpret complex legal documents.
Consistent record of maintaining beneficiary relationships with professionalism and clarity.
CTFA, CFA, or CFP preferred but not required.
