Staff Accountant – Accounts Receivable Focus A well-established organization is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its tenured accounting team. This is a direct-hire opportunity with strong stability, great team culture, and excellent benefits. The organization is looking to move quickly, with interviews beginning next week.
About the Role The Staff Accountant will be responsible for full-cycle Accounts Receivable, cash handling, reconciliations, membership revenue support, and fixed asset management. This is a hands‑on role within a close-knit team of five and reports directly to the Accounting Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
Process and post cash receipts, checks, ACH, credit card payments, and EFTs
Perform full-cycle AR: invoicing, tracking payments, reconciliations, and resolving discrepancies
Prepare and process bank deposits
Reconcile client accounts and maintain accurate AR aging
Enter fixed assets into Sage Intacct and manage depreciation schedules
Support membership billing and revenue tracking (training provided if needed)
Assist with month-end AR close processes
Work collaboratively with internal teams and contribute to a positive team culture
What They’re Looking For
2–5 years of accounting experience, ideally AR-focused
Strong reconciliation skills and comfort handling high-volume cash activity
Experience with ACH, credit card payments, EFTs, and client account reconciliation
Exposure to Sage Intacct preferred (training available)
Membership revenue experience is a plus
Proficiency in Excel—especially VLOOKUP and pivot tables
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business related required (international degrees accepted)
Soft skills: collaborative, curious, strong communicator, integrity-driven, team-oriented, self-starter
Compensation & Benefits
Salary:
$60,000-$65,000 / Annually
Bonus:
Up to $5,000 end of year bonus (dependent on performance)

Onsite garage with cost shared between employer and employee. Transit benefits also offered
Schedule & Work Environment

Team meetings 2x per week (onsite)
