FAR Inspections FAR Inspections is looking for highly motivated individuals to perform residential occupancy verifications on behalf of mortgage lenders in Reno, NV. Independent contractors earn predictable full‑time or supplemental income with a flexible schedule. Experience with mortgage field inspections is not required; an ability to manage time and meet deadlines is crucial. What is an Occupancy Verification?
Mortgage lenders require periodic updates on their properties, which independent contractors provide. The purpose of the property inspection is: To verify property occupancy. To report on the general condition of the property using a mobile application. Most inspections are exterior only; about 10% require interior photos after the property has gone vacant. Responsibilities
Complete inspections in 5–6 minutes. Submit the inspection within 4 days of assignment. Report general property conditions and determine occupancy based on industry standards. Take 9+ photos of the property with brief comments. Complete a short form in an app. Drive extended periods, making numerous stops within the assigned territory. Requirements
Computer with internet connection. Reliable vehicle (good gas mileage is a plus; you pay for your own gas). Smartphone (Android or iPhone). Printer. Pass a standard background check using a valid driver's license. Pay and Hours
This is a 1099 position. Each inspection has a flat rate, varying by county and volume. Although you are paid per inspection, the equivalent earning can be $30–$40 per hour. Depending on the county and whether it is urban or rural, you may complete anywhere from 20–500 inspections per month working 2–30 hours per week. Lower volume counties have higher rates; higher volume counties have lower rates. Work is consistent month‑to‑month.
