Responsibilities
Plan and implement activities across categories: physical, social, recreational, intellectual, creative, entertainment, and special requests.
Conduct or lead activities as needed.
Develop activities tailored to residents' lifestyle choices.
Invite and remind residents to participate.
Chaperone activities outside the community.
Operate Bickford vehicles for transportation to activities.
Train, support, and instruct team members to conduct activities.
Create a Monthly Activity Calendar covering 7 days, including evening and weekend events.
Coordinate decorations for special events, seasons, and holidays.
Coordinate food needs with kitchen for scheduled activities.
Operate within Branch budget guidelines.
Qualifications
High‑school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s in recreation or related field preferred.
Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist or Activity Director Certification required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) and ability to learn new applications.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Organizational and time management skills.
Problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
