Responsibilities
Position is in the Operating Room at a hospital setting
Patient cases include Cardiac, Hepatobiliary, Robotic, Spine, and Ophthalmology surgeries
Day shifts consist of four 10-hour shifts per week, from 6:45 AM to 5:00 PM, with rotating weekends
Travelers may float to other locations within the health system if the home unit census is low
Epic charting experience is preferred
Responsibilities include direct and indirect patient care, interdisciplinary care plan coordination, and patient education
Orientation modules are completed via e-learning, averaging 1-5 hours depending on specialty
Return staff policy requires at least one year since last assignment as a traveler
Only one holiday time-off request will be approved during the contract
50-mile radius rule applies, with locals accepted at a local rate
Knowledge and background must be disclosed prior to consideration
Professional attire and compliance with scrub requirements are expected
Requirements
Active CA RN license required at the time of consideration
BLS certification (AHA) is mandatory and must be in hand
Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience required
At least 1 year of experience in Cardiac, Hepatobiliary, Robotic, Spine, and Ophthalmology OR services is required
Proficiency in both scrubbing and circulating roles is necessary
Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of accepting the position
All certifications must be in hand for consideration
