Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with a California license, BLS (AHA), and scrub and circulate skills for a day shift position.
Responsibilities
Operating Room setting in a hospital environment
Responsible for scrub and circulate roles in Cardiac, Hepatobiliary, Robotic, Spine, and Ophthalmology cases
Day shift position with 4x10 hour shifts, 6:45am to 4:00pm
Rotating weekend shifts and overtime support are required
Travelers may be required to float to other locations if census is low
Epic EMR experience preferred
Responsible for comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and education
Works collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team and maintains effective communication with patients and their support groups
Modules and e-learning are required during orientation; average module time is 1-5 hours
Only one holiday request for time off will be approved during the contract
Previous employees must have a one-year gap before returning as a traveler
A 50-mile radius rule applies for eligibility
Requirements
Active CA RN license required
Current BLS certification from AHA required
Minimum of 2 years OR RN experience required
At least 1 year of experience in Cardiac procedures
Experience in Hepatobiliary, Robotic, Spine, and Ophthalmology services preferred
Experience with scrub and circulate duties required
Must complete lab work within 3-5 days of signing
Epic charting experience preferred
