Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with Level 1 trauma and neuro experience for a flexible rotating shift assignment requiring a WA or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
Work in a 25-bed Level 1 Trauma Center operating room at a teaching and Magnet-status hospital
Primary cases include ortho, spine, and neuro with additional service lines; no cardiac or transplant cases
Rotating day and night 12-hour shifts with variable start times; weekends required
No block scheduling available; must be flexible to meet unit needs
No floating outside the operating room
No on-call responsibilities
Patient caseload ranges from 60 to 70 cases
Uses Epic for charting; experience preferred but not required
Medication system is Pyxis
Responsibilities include circulating in the operating room for trauma, ortho, spine, and neuro cases
First-time travelers are accepted
Travelers must be willing to work both weekends and various shift times as scheduled
Scrubs are provided by the facility
No requests for time off (RTO) are allowed during orientation; overall RTO is limited to 6 days
Parking options include onsite and offsite paid lots with shuttle service Monday through Friday
Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
Requirements
Active WA or compact RN license required; pending licensure not accepted (compact license holders must apply for WA licensure and complete WA requirements)
Current BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience including Level 1 trauma and neuro
Circulating skills required
COVID-19 vaccination and booster required
Ability to provide proof of required documents for consideration
Former staff must be separated by at least 18 months before returning
