Overview
We are seeking two highly skilled and dedicated Clinical Assistant/Associate/Professors to join our team at the University of Florida Department of Neurology as Neurohospitalists. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, the successful candidates will provide exceptional patient care to our patients with complex neurological disorders on our general neurology ward/consult service. The candidate will be responsible for evaluating and managing patients with a wide range of neurological conditions. The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical skills, a strong commitment to patient-centered care, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced academic environment. Responsibilities and Expectations
Provide high quality, patient-centered care to patients with complex neurological disorders on our general neurology ward and consults services. Conduct thorough evaluations, develop treatment plans, and manage patients with a wide range of neurological conditions. Clinical teaching and supervision of Neurology residents and medical students. Maintain a commitment to academic excellence, with opportunities for teaching. Meet all requirements for licensure, certification and hospital privileges. Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Commensurate with experience and education. Required Qualifications
MD or equivalent Board certified or board eligible in Neurology Completion of Neurology residency training Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Florida Preferred
Demonstrated interest in academic medicine Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills Special Instructions to Applicants
