Position Summary Established and growing Miami‑based general contracting firm is seeking an immediate hire for a highly experienced Commercial Superintendent to join our team of professionals. The Superintendent will oversee day‑to‑day field operations of their projects, from construction implementation to complete project management. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience as a Superintendent in high‑end commercial construction projects with a focus on restaurant/retail. Candidate must be organized, detail‑oriented, and driven. We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Provide on‑site coordination for all phases of construction projects.

Coordinate subcontractors, material, and equipment, ensuring specifications are strictly followed and work proceeds on schedule and within budget.

Responsible for scheduling, inspections, quality control, and job site safety.

Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors on the critical path to ensure timely completion.

Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.

Communicate with the project team regarding ASIs, RFIs, and material submittals.

Ensure subcontractors are fully executing and complying with the contracted scope of work.

Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.

Identify subcontractor non‑compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards.

Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to the project team for resolution.

Maintain a daily written log of activities on the job site.

Ensure subcontractors correct all deficiencies identified by the project team.

Actively walk project sites daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning.

Preside over weekly subcontractor meetings to coordinate work.

Issue notices of non‑compliance to subcontractors regarding quality of work or scheduling.

Maintain the job site in a clean and organized manner.

Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion.

Spanish (Preferred).

Education and Experience

Minimum of 10+ years of experience as a Superintendent.

Some educational classes, combined with qualifying experience, could substitute for a bachelor’s degree.

Experience managing subcontractors, suppliers, and interfacing with Project Managers and management.
