Base pay range: $19.00/hr - $22.00/hr.
Responsibilities
Open and close the store in the absence of store management, including all required systems start‑ups, cash handling, and ensuring the floor and stock room are ready for the business day. Responsible for opening the back door for deliveries.
Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provide change as requested to cash registers.
Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
Model and share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive experience.
Assist with and coach other team members on warehouse and vendor ordering processes, including opening the back door for vendor deliveries.
Register all related sales on assigned cash register, including records of scanning errors, price verifications, items not on file, price modifications, and voids.
Assist manager or assistant store manager in reviewing order exceptions on order release day and assists in reverse logistics (e.g., returns).
Assist in evaluating and developing displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise. Complete resets and revisions.
Maintain accurate inventory counts and on‑hand quantities across basic departments, stockroom, and overstock locations.
Ensure the Outdate program is followed with team members.
Handle basic department pricing and make daily price changes; ensure proper signage is displayed at the store.
Assist with bookkeeping activities, including cash report, cash counts, ledgers, and bill payment as needed.
Assist with exterior and interior maintenance to keep the store clean, neat, and orderly; request repairs as required.
Assist with separation of food items (e.g., raw vs pre‑cooked) and product placement; support stock rotation using first‑in, first‑out.
Possess working knowledge of store systems and equipment.
Assist at Pharmacy out window as requested.
Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages and tobacco).
Perform bag checks of team members before leaving the store.
Comply with all company policies and procedures and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Attend training and complete PPLs requested by Manager.
Serve as liaison between management and non‑management team members, communicating tasks when store management is absent.
Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.
Basic Qualifications
One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder experience.
Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of store inventory control.
Employment consideration for qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
Obtains and maintains valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
