Base pay range: $19.00/hr - $22.00/hr
Responsibilities
Open and close the store in the absence of store management, including all required system start‑ups, cash handling, ensuring the floor and stockroom are ready for the business day. Responsible for opening the back door of the store for deliveries.
Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provide change as requested to cash registers.
Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
Model and share customer service best practices with all team members.
Hold store keys to open and close without management as necessary.
Assist with and coach other team members on warehouse and vendor ordering process, including opening the backdoor for vendor deliveries.
Register all sales on the assigned cash register, including scanning errors, price verifications, items not on file, price modifications, and voids.
Review order exceptions and assist in reverse logistics.
Develop displays and promotional merchandise; complete resets and revisions.
Maintain accurate inventory counts across departments.
Maintain workflow for the Outdate program follow‑up.
Set daily price changes and ensure proper signage.
Perform bookkeeping activities including cash reports, counts, ledgers, bill payment.
Maintain clean store conditions; request repairs when necessary.
Separate food items and perform stock rotations using FIFO.
Maintain knowledge of store systems and equipment.
Assist at the Pharmacy outlet window as requested.
Comply with state and local regulations for regulated products.
Bag check team members before leaving the store.
Maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Training & Personal Development
Attend training and complete required PPLs requested by Manager.
Communications
Serve as liaison between management and non‑management team members by communicating tasks when store management is absent.
Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.
Basic Qualifications
One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of store inventory control.
Consideration of applicants with arrest and conviction records.
Valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
