Key Responsibilities
Perform calibration, verification, and preventative maintenance on a wide range of measurement equipment and gages.
Operate, program, and maintain Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and other advanced metrology systems.
Conduct precise dimensional inspections of manufactured components, raw materials, and finished products.
Interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) specifications.
Maintain accurate calibration records, documentation, and a comprehensive measurement system database.
Analyze measurement data, identify trends, and provide detailed inspection reports and feedback to engineering and production.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to measurement equipment, inspection processes, and part conformance.
Recommended Qualifications
Associate's degree in Metrology, Manufacturing Technology, or a related technical field.
2+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality or metrology lab environment.
Proficiency in using a wide range of precision measurement tools, including CMMs, calipers, micrometers, and optical comparators.
Strong ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Experience with CMM programming and operation software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
Bonus Qualifications
Experience programming automated measurement equipment (e.g., CMMs, vision systems).
Proficiency with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) for advanced data interpretation.
Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher).
Familiarity with CAD software for model‑based definition (MBD) interpretation.
