We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Scheduler/Buyer for our manufacturing facility located in Houston, TX, 77034. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring that our production schedules run smoothly while managing the procurement of materials necessary for our operations. Develop and maintain production schedules to optimize workflow and meet customer demands. Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely availability of materials and resources. Manage inventory levels and conduct regular assessments to prevent shortages or excess stock. Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best pricing and delivery terms for materials. Monitor and analyze purchasing trends to identify cost-saving opportunities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align production goals with procurement strategies. Utilize scheduling software to track progress and adjust plans as necessary. Prepare reports on inventory status, procurement activities, and production schedules for management review. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Proven experience in scheduling and purchasing within a manufacturing environment. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Proficiency in scheduling and inventory management software. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic setting. Ability to make timely fact based decisions, shows good judgement. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain principles is a plus. You Should Be Proficient In
