Job Description
We are seeking a multi-talented individual interested in a career in providing family, individual and small business tax compliance services. The firm is an independent, locally owned planning and compliance firm, located in Houston, Texas. We provide objective and unbiased tax compliance and consulting services to high-net-worth individuals, their families, and related entities, such as partnerships/LLCs, S-Corporations and trusts.
Principal roles will include managing a book of business of the firm, overseeing the preparation of tax returns by our associates and seniors, including technical review and signing of annual federal and state tax returns; communication with clients to resolve IRS issues; providing tax savings opportunities, and ensure timely filing and payment of all tax returns and payments.
There is no expectation of your own book of business, as we are growing with new clients each year. You will be the point person for all new clients and will be expected to prepare fee estimates ahead of engagement by the client.
Job Requirements
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in tax compliance and consulting, preferably with some experience in detail reviewing tax returns and managing a client list.
CPA certification
Current PTIN
Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills
Must be well organized and manage multiple priorities
Must be detail oriented
Must be proficient in use of technology
Must project professional appearance

Location: Houston, Texas near Galleria
Travel not required
Hours per week: normally 40 hours per week, with higher expected during busy season
Benefits include paid overtime, health insurance, 401(K)
Hybrid schedule with three days in office, two days working at home
