What you’ll do:
Be a Team Member: Maintains up‑to‑date knowledge of the products, collaborates with cross‑functional teams, helps educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources, communicates effectively, and develops interpersonal skills for providing customer service; is flexible to the needs of the business to work in other areas, track goods, maintain in‑stock levels, and control shrinkage in a timely manner.
Be an Expert: Understands the processes and specifications related to quality of various types of produce merchandise (e.g., taste, preparation method or use, seasonality); prepares (trims, crisps, packages, scales) products according to established standards; maintains product safety and follows company sanitation guidelines; adheres to applicable laws, regulations, and company policies related to produce quality.
Be a Techie: Leverages digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; uses handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapts to new tools and encourages others to use them.
Be an Owner: Drives the performance of the area by utilizing digital tools, using perpetual inventory management techniques to stock and rotate department products, ensuring quality and date control standards, eliminating waste, and guiding peers while providing attention to customer needs.
Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocates for the department and the club by valuing the member’s experience, modeling high quality service and products, executing the basics at the highest level of quality, and exhibiting energy, commitment, and passion for the work.
Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans, using the Open Door Policy, and applying them when executing business processes.
Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborates with managers, co‑workers, customers, and other business partners; identifies priorities, deadlines, and expectations; communicates progress and information; recommends ways to address improvement opportunities; adapts to and learns from change, difficulties, and feedback.
Compensation and Benefits
Base pay range: $16.00/hr – $23.00/hr
Health benefits include medical, vision and dental coverage
Financial benefits include 401(k), stock purchase and company‑paid life insurance
Paid time off benefits include PTO, parental leave, family care leave, bereavement, jury duty, and voting. You will also receive PTO and/or PPTO that can be used for vacation, sick leave, holidays, or other purposes.
Other benefits include short‑term and long‑term disability, company discounts, Military Leave Pay, adoption and surrogacy expense reimbursement, and more.
Live Better U is a company‑paid education benefit program for full‑time and part‑time associates in Walmart and Sam’s Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor’s degrees, including English Language Learning and short‑form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are fully paid for by Walmart.
Additional compensation may exist in the form of premiums up to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
Minimum Qualifications
I acknowledge that the position for which I am applying requires me to successfully complete all job required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period if I receive the position.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
