What to Expect
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to work with our Tooling Readiness team on our Infrastructure Development projects in the Americas. This position will review site project plans and align P2P, scheduling and execution of our tooling and equipment programs across a multitude of various site functions. We are seeking someone with experience in the automotive and or collision industry combined with a strong background in project management with a focus on mechanical and electrical construction execution.
What You'll Do
Manage scope of work, budget and execution timeline for tooling and equipment deployment across new and existing infrastructure locations
Maintain effective organization and tracking of large projects across various phases
Create project estimates/budgets and scope outline
Write and issue proposal requests (RFP) to vendors
Track open orders and schedule equipment delivery, installation, repairs
Concurrently manage projects through purchasing, installation, commissioning and close out
Strong coordination with internal and external customers to eliminate/reduce business impact(s)
Communicate any changes or schedule impacts in conjunction with the Construction Project manager
Coordinate site inspections with local AHJ and contractors. Contractor Invoice review and approval
What You'll Bring
Minimum 3 years' experience in Construction and/or Project management
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or equivalent experience
Thorough understanding of equipment contracts, budgets, construction documents, change orders, schedules, submittals, and material procurement
Excellent written and spoken English. Must have the ability to discuss technical topics with a variety of audiences - contractors, engineers, and members of various teams within Tesla. Spanish fluency preferred
Ability to identify potential problems and prior to them becoming a larger issue
Strong desire to be a part of a world class team focused on achieving amazing results
Ability to obtain an U.S. passport
Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record
Travel up to 75%
