Accounting Technician Job at Robert Half in Hillsborough

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Technician to join our team on a contract basis in Hillsborough, North Carolina. This role is ideal for professionals with expertise in accounts receivable, data entry, and advanced Excel skills. You will play a key role in supporting financial operations and ensuring accurate billing processes. Responsibilities:

• Configure and manage the Accounts Receivable (AR) module within the Tyler Technologies Munis system.
• Perform precise data entry tasks to maintain accurate financial records.
• Utilize advanced Excel formulas to analyze and organize financial data.
• Assist in preparing and processing billing statements and invoices.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure the smooth execution of accounting operations.
• Provide support in reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies.
• Generate and review financial reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and accounting standards.
• Maintain organized documentation for all transactions and processes. Requirements - Demonstrated experience in accounts receivable processes.
• Proficiency in data entry with exceptional attention to detail.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, including formulas and data analysis.
• Familiarity with the Tyler Technologies Munis system is highly preferred.
• Prior experience in billing or accounting is a strong advantage.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Excellent communication skills to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to adapt to new systems and procedures efficiently.
