Position:
Tenure-Track/tenured faculty positions at all ranks (Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor) in Robotics at Rutgers University – School of Engineering, Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering.
Overview Rutgers invites applications for tenure-track/tenured faculty positions across all ranks. The department leads in advanced manufacturing, energy systems, and aerospace research. Preference will be given to applicants in manufacturing, cybersecurity, infrastructure, healthcare, machine learning, and related areas.
Responsibilities
Teach graduate and undergraduate courses in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering.
Develop a nationally recognized, externally funded scholarly research program.
Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with departments such as Robotics, Mechatronics, and Advanced Manufacturing.
Qualifications Minimum:
Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related field, completed by the time of appointment.
Demonstrated excellence in research and potential or record of external funding.
Strong commitment to teaching and student success.
Preferred:
Expertise in computational and structural mechanics, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, machine learning, data-driven optimization, or complex systems modeling.
Synergies with department strengths in Robotics, Mechatronics, Advanced Manufacturing, and Materials.
