Rutgers University-New Brunswick's School of Engineering invites applications for multiple faculty positions across all ranks and areas of expertise. The School of Engineering includes seven academic departments and 10 engineering majors, offering exceptional opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation. We seek outstanding scholars whose work advances one or more of our strategic priority areas: Physical and Virtual Infrastructure, Healthcare Technology, Innovations in Energy, Defense and National Security, Experiential Learning, and Professional Education. Appointments may be made in one or more engineering departments based on the candidate's expertise and interests. While most positions are expected to be at the assistant professor level (tenure-track and teaching), consideration will also be given to more senior-level appointments, and all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply. The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) invites applications to tenure-track positions in the following research areas:
RF/Antenna systems and wireless sensors
Security, especially in information security and AI/machine learning security
AI for domain applications, especially next-generation networking, healthcare, and embodied AI
Quantum communication and sensing
Possible ranks include Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. Successful candidates will be expected to teach courses in electrical and computer engineering at both the undergraduate and graduate levels; develop a research program, and secure external funding to support it; work in a highly collaborative, interdisciplinary environment; and engage in existing and future large-scale collaborative research endeavors.

Minimum Education and Experience:
Candidates should hold a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering or a related field. Candidates with the ability to conduct independent research, as evidenced by a strong record of scholarly publications, are encouraged to apply. For more senior positions, we seek exceptional candidates with proven track records of publishing impactful work and generating significant external funding.
Responsibilities
Teach courses in electrical and computer engineering at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Develop and lead a research program in one or more of the specified research areas.
Secure external funding to support research activities.
