Sentinel Principal / Sr Principal Engineer Industrial Master Production Scheduling
Location: Roy, UT. Join Northrop Grumman to support the Sentinel program as a Principal Industrial Engineer. This role will maintain the Master Production Schedule, translate demand plans into ERP forecasts, release executable demand, and drive schedule fidelity to customer delivery.
Relocation assistance may be available. Clearance type: Secret. Travel: Yes, 10% of the time.
Responsibilities
Maintain the Master Production Schedule and balance supply/demand relative to labor capacity and material lead times.
Translate program demand plans into ERP forecasts, release executable demand, and drive schedule fidelity to customer delivery.
Apply Industrial Engineering fundamentals (cycle times, forecasting, takt time, continuous improvement).
Develop cost/risk benefit summaries and recommendations for leadership.
Lead process improvement initiatives using value stream mapping, employee engagement, and flow reduction.
Engage with programs and functional organizations to understand manufacturing and scheduling requirements.
Document, track, and resolve problems to ensure timely resolution.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Science; 5+ years experience; or Master’s degree; 3+ years experience; or PhD; 1+ years experience.
8+ years experience (Sr. Principal) or 5+ years (Principal) – specify levels.
Must obtain U.S. Government DoD Interim Secret clearance prior to start and maintain Secret clearance post‑start.
Must obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period.
Experience with Master Production Schedule (MPS), scheduling principles, and MRP logic.
Proficient in material planning, capacity, and methods for maximum utilization of production facilities.
Nice to Have
Bachelor’s degree in industrial technology or related field.
Active DoD Secret clearance at time of application.
APICS CPIM certification or Supply Chain Management experience.
Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Excel, Project, PowerPoint.
Knowledge of SAP MRP, AutoCAD, discrete simulation tools.

Salary Primary Level: $89,400 – $134,200. Secondary Level: $111,700 – $167,500.
