Job Description We’re looking for an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business. You’ll have the opportunity to work on state‑of‑the‑art industrial and commercial facilities.
You’ll be accountable for the schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks, will gain familiarization with the client’s expectations, scope, budget, and schedule, and provide on‑site assistance during startup. You’ll coordinate work activities with other staff members and the discipline lead. As part of a collaborative, cross‑disciplinary team, you’ll help design and optimize control systems for a variety of processes, working closely with architects, engineers, and designers to deliver complete, world‑class solutions for new facilities.
Your responsibilities will include:
Developing P&IDs
Sizing valves
Specifying instrumentation
Documenting and modeling design information while ensuring compliance with building codes and industry standards
Additional tasks may include producing control system designs for diverse processes, developing options and optimizations for all aspects of process control, instrumentation, and automation, and receiving mentorship opportunities to help you thrive in your new career.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Control Systems, or Electrical Engineering
At least 2 years of experience working with instrumentation and controls
Working knowledge of DDC, PLC, DCS, and other controls applications
Experience working with data centers
Engineer in Training (EIT) certification
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Forward‑thinking, eager to learn and contribute innovative ideas
Ability to learn quickly and thrive in multidisciplinary teams
Passion for buildings and construction
