Instrumentation & Controls Engineer – Intermediate (Data Centers) Jacobs is looking for an

Instrumentation and Controls Engineer

to support the design, implementation, and optimization of control systems for data center facilities throughout the United States.

Base Pay Range $69,500.00–$95,500.00 per year

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop P&IDs, sizing valves, and specifying instrumentation for data center control loops.

Model control system design information and ensure compliance with building codes and industry standards.

Coordinate work activities with architects, engineers, and discipline leads during project startup and commissioning.

Provide on-site assistance during startup and coordinate with other staff to maintain schedule and technical quality.

Develop options and optimizations for all aspects of process control, instrumentation, and automation in a collaborative, multi‑disciplinary team.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Control Systems, or Electrical Engineering.

At least 2 years of experience working with Instrumentation and Control.

Working knowledge of DDC, PLC, DCS, and other control applications.

Experience working with Data Centers.

Engineer in Training (EIT) preferred.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas.
