Job Summary The Associate Director of Operations and Occupancy serves as a strategic leader within Housing and Residence Life, overseeing day‑to‑day operations and occupancy management of all student housing. This role supervises key staff, optimizes the StarRez housing management system, and enhances related modules.
Responsibilities Oversee occupancy management and optimization across platforms such as StarRez, Annunity, and Personna. Maintain accurate occupancy records and reports. Provide oversight for Living Learning Communities. Coordinate room assignments, occupancy tracking, and related administrative processes. Lead StarRez system testing, development, and data management. Implement policies and procedures for housing assignment. Analyze occupancy trends to optimize revenue. Oversee operational projects ensuring system functionality. Provide training and support for staff and end‑users. Supervise Operations Coordinator and Assignment Coordinator. Lead Summer Housing operations and staff staffing. Manage StarRez‑related projects, upgrades, and vendor coordination. Coordinate Housing Selection process. Perform administrative duties including budgeting, reporting, and billing. Serve as a resource for room changes and move‑in/move‑out logistics. Maintain StarRez portal workflows and automated processes.
Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and three years of related experience, including at least two years of supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications • Master’s degree in College Student Personnel, Project Management, or related field. • Experience with housing management systems such as StarRez. • Experience with SQL and supervising professional staff. • Strong oral and written communication, and organizational and administrative skills.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities • Building operations and reports in databases; experience with housing management systems. • Supervisory practices and techniques. • Detail‑oriented with strong prioritization and organizational skills. • Effective written and oral communication, including presentation experience. • Systems‑level thinking and collaborative relationship building. • Problem analysis and sound decision making. • Ability to write complex SQL statements.
Shift / Salary / Benefits Shift: Days – M‑F; may require outside standard business hours.
Pay Band: B11, Salary: $56,600 – $61,000 annually.
Recruitment Period: Until Filled.
