Senior Scientist Responsibilities

Work as part of a team to invent novel fluorescent molecules, including synthesis, purification, and characterization for biological applications such as flow cytometry markers.

Establish internal relationships with reagent development groups to understand current and future needs.

Work independently; actively publish results in peer‑reviewed journals and generate intellectual property filings to advance an innovative fluorescent dye pipeline.

Essential Requirements

Ph.D. or M.S. in organic chemistry or related field with 2+ years post‑Ph.D. and 7+ years post‑M.S. experience relevant to the role.

Motivated self‑starter with a record of publications, presentations, and intellectual property generation.

Experience synthesizing and evaluating photophysical properties of dyes to demonstrate feasibility for cellular analysis.

Maintain thorough records, analyze and present research results at meetings and in publications, and track research project plans.

Maintain scientific awareness by reviewing literature, competitive IP filings, and participating in meetings.

Preferred Experience

Experience with multicolor flow cytometry and dye‑antibody conjugations.
