Plant Controller
Fort Worth, TX - Hybrid
One of Vaco's manufacturing clients in the midst of moving a piece of their operations here to the metroplex is looking to onboard a Plant Controller ASAP. They need someone that can be hands‑on and in the weeds with the ability to build out a roadmap and streamline processes.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting: Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses for the plant.
Cost Control: Monitor manufacturing costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
Inventory Management: Oversee inventory control processes and reconcile physical inventories with financial records.
Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and company financial regulations and policies.
Financial Analysis: Conduct thorough financial analysis to support strategic decision‑making and business planning.
Internal Controls: Develop and implement effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial reporting.
Audit Support: Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and responses to auditor inquiries.
Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve financial processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the plant finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and professional development.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced MS Excel skills.
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
