Join our Office of the General Counsel to provide legal leadership in audit and assurance practice.

Key Responsibilities
Serve as primary OGC contact for leadership of the Audit and Assurance Practice on legal and regulatory matters related to professional services; advise other KPMG functions (Tax and Advisory) on similar matters and resolve potential disputes.
Organize the work of the Practice Advisory Group to support the Audit and Assurance Practice.
Stay current on legal and regulatory developments impacting the audit profession and advise the Practice accordingly.
Support the development of comment letters and guidance for the Audit and Assurance Practice.
Qualifications
Minimum 15 years experience at a well-regarded law firm, government agency, or in‑house legal department; JD or LLM from an accredited law school and licensed to practice law in the U.S., including the state where the office is located.
Deep experience with civil litigation and regulatory investigations relating to audits of public and private companies, and advising the profession on legal and regulatory matters, including securities laws, rules and regulations.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines with high-quality deliverables, and demonstrate strategic thinking, ethical standards, integrity, authenticity, credibility, and character.
Demonstrated collaboration skills, building strong business partnerships and working within cross‑functional teams; client‑service orientation.
Leadership skills and ability to navigate ambiguity and influence stakeholders; high emotional intelligence for managing relationships across the team and organization, resolving conflicts, managing change, and understanding needs and motivations of senior leaders and team members.
Proactive in identifying potential challenges, opportunities for enhancement and innovation, leveraging technology.
