Responsibilities

Serve as the primary OGC contact for leadership of the Audit and Assurance Practice on legal and regulatory matters relating to the provision of professional services; advise the other professional service functions (Tax and Advisory) regarding similar matters and resolve potential disputes.

Organize the work of the Practice Advisory Group to support the Audit and Assurance Practice.

Stay current on legal and regulatory developments impacting the audit profession and advise the Practice on these developments.

Support the development of comment letters and guidance for the Audit and Assurance Practice.

Qualifications

Minimum of 15 years of experience in a well‑regarded law firm, government agency, or in‑house legal department; JD or LLM from an accredited law school and licensed to practice law in the U.S., including the state in which her/his office is located.

Deep experience with civil litigation and regulatory investigations related to audits of public and private companies and advising the profession on legal and regulatory matters, including training; knowledge of securities laws, rules and regulations related to the audit profession.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and produce high‑quality deliverables with strategic thinking in sensitive and complex situations; highest ethical standards, integrity, authenticity, credibility and character.

Demonstrated collaboration skills, building strong business partnerships, working within cross‑functional teams and client‑service orientation.

Leadership skills and ability to navigate ambiguity, influence stakeholders, manage relationships, resolve conflicts, manage change, and understand the needs and motivations of senior leaders and team members.

Proactive identification of potential challenges, opportunities for enhancement and innovation, including leveraging technology.
